How To Prevent An Ant Invasion In Your Car

Well, summertime is here and the summer parties are in full swing!  Humans aren't the only ones getting outdoors during these warmer temperatures.  No sir-ree!

Ants are out looking for food and water, so you may be surprised to find some crawling across your dashboard.  Mostly they are after the food crumbs you left behind from your last picnic or from the food you carried to the park for your child's birthday party.

But sometimes, there has been no food or water at all in the vehicle, and you see you have an infestation anyway.  How can you prevent this?

First, you can be more conscious about where you park your car.  Park as far away from ant trails as you can.  Also, don't park near vegetation since they are nesting grounds for ants.

Second, you can remove all items that attract heat.  Any kind of battery-operated devices such as MP3 players draw ants to the area.

And if you still find that you have those pesky critters despite taking all precautions, just pull out your trusty flamethrower.  That will take care of them.
